    You can change the color to black and white without root.

  2. No no it can be done in Android without rooting or unlocking the bootloader and dont even requre third party appa

  3. You don't need to root your phone in android pie, the feature is part of digital well being and you can set it at any time to grey scale.

  4. There was no need for rooting. In the developers options there is a config named ''Simulate monocromatic space''

  6. for android you can do it without root.
    1. Unlock Developer options by clicking build number in "About Phone" 7 times.
    2. Open Developer options and scroll down until you find "Simulate color space" (you can also search for "Simulate color space" in settings).
    3. Click it and select "Monochromacy".

  7. No need to ROOT if you have a android phone just go into developer mode than go to monochrome. BTW tested this on samsung, not sure about other android phone
