My Journey with Android Development | Effort, Pain, and some Practical Tips

As I write this in July 2017, I can safely say that this year has been the most exciting and productive time of my life so far. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and exchanging ideas with many incredible people, and slowly begun to see a small but dedicated group of Developers join me each week to help others and share knowledge.

Although meeting these people and taking up the responsibility of helping noobs navigate the Android platform (to whatever degree I can) is what gets me out of bed…

  1. I'm starting out my journey in Android Dev. I love your story and your sincerity! Very motivational!! Thanks for sharing. Love from Nigeria

  2. Thank you for this video. I sat and watched all through it and it really motivates people in the same struggle. I just started Android development recently and trying to do my research on the path people have taken and it seems like hard work and persistence is all you really need at the end of the day.

Thank you again for sharing your story and I hope all is well!

  3. Good things always happen to people who believe in themselves, enjoy their work and work hard. 🙂

  4. I have just started android and it's been about two months. This is the best "Latest" & "Updated Tutorials" I have stumbled upon.

Thanks for all this experience. I am having troubles and a lot of doubts about all this but as you are going forward, I think that things will fall into place as you teach further. If possible please share email or any contact, So I can get my doubts clear, if you are okay with it.

All the very best for future videos. Loved the Tutorials.
    Thanks Again

  5. Your story hits too close to home. I'm in college right now just finished my second year. They don't teach you shit and I come from a self taught learning environment from high school. I taught myself Java and learned how to do so many useful things with the power of many different languages, yet, in college we haven't touched on ANY of them. And to be honest its really wasting a lot of my time and money continuing to take these archaic Fortran and C++ classes like WHAT CAN I FUCKING DO WITH FORTRAN??

But there's no way I can drop out with my parents on my back. They're immigrants and thing a degree is everything so they won't understand. So thankful I found your vids

  6. 13:07 true it is frustrating… but I'd say its also the best feeling as well once we reach a point where we look back and see what have we achieved.
And thank you for sharing your thoughts… wiseAss

  7. This sounds so much like what I am going through right now. I stopped following you as much because I got a job 4 months ago and unfortunately it wasn't in Android as I planned; but I'm so glad your channel is still alive and kicking! Keep it up!

  8. Expensive for coding. I taught myself. Maybe I should make a video on the subject as well.

  9. No Timestamps for this one.

If you want a brief description of who I am, and how I got here making Videos, this is it.
