  1. OMG – thanks so much – I could not figure out why it wasn't working for me. So easy!

  2. Hello, Is there a way to get rid of the pop up window that is on the screen while the call is in session. I cant move it out of the way and it blocks the area I need to get to when I am working on a remote pc. I have to drag the remote window away from the facetime popup to see the screen of the remote pc.
If you know a way to move the Facetime popup while a call is in progress, I would love to know how. Thanks

  3. It would really be helpful for you to update this video, particularly for users who are using newer versions of IOS. There is no option
for iPhone cellular calls on the Settings Page for preferences. When I go to FaceTime there is no way to initiate a call that works, no way to dial a number. Again, an update would be very helpful. By the way, both devices are on the same iCloud account.

  4. Thank you. I needed to set up a FaceTime call and hate holding my phone when my MacBook is handy.

  5. Thanks for the tips. But I’m facing a problem, while trying to call through my Mac it shows call error. How to fix it.

  6. hi sir, when I open my facetime preferences, I dont see my Phone number, but when I checked my iphone logged in with my same account, I can see my Phone number…Second thing that I want to know that if my macbook and my iphone are not connected to the same wifi network but instead if my macbook is connected to the wifi hotspot of my iphone, can I do the same thing, i.e. receive calls on my macbook…??…please do reply sir, I shall be thankful to you for this…

  7. Can somebody please reply to me, I have been watching all of these videos and they all tell me to check off the phone number but there’s no option to add in my phone number there

  8. thank you for this video! im so illiterate when it comes to mac books

  9. I’ve been trying to figure this out all week on my iPad and why it wasn’t getting all my text and receiving or initiating calls. This helps, thanks!

  10. Can I still FaceTime on my computer even though it’s the MacBook OS X versión 10.7.5

  11. Hi, I've searched hi & low for an answer. Can I make my MacBook ring when I receive a FaceTime call…….when the laptop lid is closed / asleep ?

    Is it possible ?

I have an iPhone & MacBook Air. A simple 'NO' would help or 'YES' with a good description or link.

Thanks in advance for any contributions

  12. It won’t let me tick off the ‘you can be reached for FaceTime at’ email I have for it.

  13. HELP! Every time I get a call, the voice is transferred to my bluetooth speaker in the other room. No setting I can find will change this including the drop down selection when you click on the volume icon. It is clearly set to internal speakers but still plays thru my speaker. What am I doing wrong?!

  14. Under the heading Calls from iPhone, the only button is Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling. When I first bought my Mac a year and a half ago, I could and did make and receive calls. But after some particular update, that option has not worked. In addition, when I set my preferences according to this video – except for the Calls option – the program wants to use the number I am trying to call as the 'calling from' number even though my number is in the Start New Calls From field. What gives?!

  15. While this is an old tutorial.. Worked perfectly, even on macOS Mojave 10.14. Many thanks!
