  2. This was actually very helpful. switching from iPhone to the Pixel 2XL after being with Apple for 8 years. my phone will arrive on the 17th or 18th and i’m nervous but excited!

  3. Wait! What was that little swipe you did to see the pictures? Maybe I need a 'before basics' video?

  4. hey droid life whats the camera that you use to record videos and your mic setup

  5. Great video… from an all time iPhone user πŸ˜‰ I might switch some day so I like those rare introduction videos to Android basics. Thanks !

  6. Is that pixel 2xl on 8.1 because when I screen shot my screen doesn't pop out like that. All I get is the notification

  7. You should add how to transfer files using Files Go since iOS user will miss AirDrop.

  8. Should've pulled an Android Central and showed how to power on the device πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

  9. Droid Life Can you post that Pixel 2 XL wallpaper that you were using on the phone please!?

  10. Thats why i watch this channel, these guys just helps those new comers get to grips with android, would have loved someone to teach me on SD card permissions in apps and weird errors when I jumped over to android. Actually I had a moto G and nexus 7 before I went to LG. I'm back on iOS but that's a preference and I would go back to android in 2 heartbeats.

Love that droid life also covers individual phones interface and phone settings where you won't get to see in reviews or other videos, really helpful to know the difference between phones, android is the same but granular features are not. Like LG has that bluetooth auto starting apps and what happens when you get home, auto turn on wifi or something tasker like. Also not a fan of the way LG did expandable notification, sometimes won't expand, those kinds of things.

  11. thank you so much for making this video! super helpful! (recently converted android user)

  12. Google used to have a translator of what was on the screen, just with a long press in the home button. After the latest updates that "feature" dissapeared, or maybe I couldn't find it but it was really usefull to me.

  13. Kellan,

Have you tried the lawn chair launcher or even the actual pixel launcher? They are nearly identical to the pixel 2

  14. Might mention next time you do a tutorial on Google Photos, that on the Pixel series, you can unlimited free storage for Original size as well.

  15. None of this is new, to me, but you guys are doing great things. There's so many people who don't know these basic little tricks. I'll definitely share this video to some of my friends and help make them more comfortable with some basic Android use. Thank you. It's a pretty good compilation of basics.

  16. Love these kinds of videos. Coming from using iPhones since the iPhone3. This is awesome and invaluable. Thank youπŸ‘πŸ½

  17. As noted in the description, this one may not be geared toward the experts in the building. There are still those who are new to Android because they finally ditched their awful iPhones and probably need some basic guidance. This is for them. Please be kind to the buttons above, if you know what I mean.
